For Men Only
MALE CHEST REDUCTION (Gynecomastia)
You may consider a male chest reduction…
- If you are a man who has
excessively large breasts
- If you have excess or sagging
tissue in your chest area after losing a large amount
of weight.
This is a relatively common condition
known as gynecomastia. This procedure will create a
flatter chest for you with a more masculine male contour.
Your Surgery
Dr Bennett will perform your surgery
at the surgicenter on an outpatient basis under general
anesthesia. Excess breast tissue or fat can be removed
with liposuction, excision, or a combination of both.
The excess skin can be excised. You will go home several
hours after surgery to be cared for by a friend or relative.
A compression vest or chest wrapping is usually worn
for a week or two after surgery to help reduce swelling.
The sutures are usually removed within 7-10 days after
surgery.
Additional procedures that will enhance
the result are Liposuction
of excess fat in the axilla (armpit area) or contouring
and flattening the abdomen with Liposuction
and/or Tummy
Tuck.
Your Consultation
We invite you to schedule a
private consultation with Dr. Bennett or one of our
nurse coordinators. During the consultation all aspects
of your proposed surgery will be discussed including
preparation, relative risks, recovery, range of fees,
and financing options. We gladly schedule from one to

ask questions and express your needs and concerns in
a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.
