An eyelid lift will give you a more youthful and rested appearance to your eyes. It will soften wrinkle lines, not remove or erase all of them.

Your Surgery

Eyelid surgery is done on an outpatient basis under local or general anesthesia. An incision is made that traces the natural fold of the upper lid and extends a little beyond the outside corner. The sagging skin is separated from the fatty tissue and muscle underneath and removed. Excess fat from the lower eyelid can be removed through an incision made inside the lower lid. Following surgery you may experience mild discomfort that is easily controlled with oral medication. Your sutures are usually removed within 3-10 days and eye make-up can be applied shortly after sutures are removed. You can begin wearing contact lenses usually within 2-3 weeks.

Botox® Cosmetic is an additional procedure that you may consider to diminish frown lines between the eyes and horizontal lines in the forehead.Botox® Cosmetic. is an excellent procedure to erase “crow’s feet” around the outer eyes, as well.

Additional procedures that may enhance your results include Forehead Lift, Facelift, Chemical Peel or Laser Skin Resurfacing, Restylane® and/or Perlane®, and Botox® Cosmetic.
