Your Surgery
The technique used for your surgery
depends upon the results you desire. We offer computer
imaging in our office to help you discover your possibilities.
The procedure is done on an out patient basis under
general anesthesia and usually takes between 1 and 2
hours. You will go home with an external splint in place
that is usually removed within one week. Initial discomfort
is easily controlled with oral medication. Your semifinal
results are evident within 3 months. Your final result
is evident in 12-14 months, which is the time necessary
for complete tissue softening.
We invite you to schedule a
private consultation with Dr. Bennett or one of our
nurse coordinators. During the consultation all aspects
of your proposed surgery will be discussed including
preparation, relative risks, recovery, range of fees,
and financing options. We have “Computer Imaging”
in our office as well. We gladly schedule from one to
two hours for your consultation. We encourage you to
ask questions and express your needs and concerns in
a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.
